My coach tag says my front and rear tires should be 80 PSI for the weight of the unit...

As Richard said, "The best way to determine the proper tire pressure is by knowing your coach's actual weight (by axle) as you typically roll down the road, and then using the manufacturer's load & inflation charts to select the correct pressure."

in lieu of this, you should inflate your tires to the 80 PSI specification as per you coach placard.

I call roadside assistance and tell the everything about my tire and have them bring me one.

Me too! Why invest all that $$ into a spare, rim, jack, and tools, and then carry around all that extra weight criss crossing the country?

For the price of all the above you could probably pay for 10 years of roadside assist!

Thank you all. This is a gas generator. 5500 kw. It will do it through the whole state of AZ .most of the time. At my home of San Deigo I do monthly runs for over an hour with both A/C's,water heater and a vacum running just to add load. This never has a issue. I have the issue this year when the temp is around 100 or above. Running both A/c's or just 1 or even none I could keep it running. As for location it is driver side about in the middle Of the coach. Today it worked great with both a/c's as I went though Oklahoma.

What type of oil do you use in your generator. Ours, which is the same as yours, calls for 15W40 to address usage when in temps of  -10 to 100

We use the extra copies to leave in Laundry rooms at RV Parks, all over North America.  We also take out what we might need in the future, 2 binders, one for Tech Talk & one for interesting places to see.

Carl, as well as sharing copies with neighbors we meet in RV Parks, we do exactly the same as you.

  5. We have had nothing but Michelins on our current and previous MH. Have had no issues and none showed any signs of pre-mature side wall cracking.

Other than a bit pricier than cheaper brands, can't say anything bad about Michelins.

  7. We received our certificate  as a refund for Tucson on March 24, just about a week after the cancelation of the convention.

The cancellation of Tucson was announced by email and posted on Facebook on March 13. The gift certificate refund plan was announced about a week later by email and on Facebook.

If  you receive regular emails from RMCA, you would have received the communications above.

  9.  "txtiger", in response to your points...

I am a member of FMCA because, I enjoy belonging to an association of likemineded folks, enjoying the RV lifestyle and because,

    1. I really like the conventions and attend whenever possible. I enjoy socializing like most RVers.

    2. I really enjoy the magazine and can't wait for it to arrive in my mailbox monthly.

    3. I subscibe to FMCA Roadside Assistance and still think it's a deal and I am extremely thankful for "FMCA Travel Assist" in case something happens on the road.

This all for $85 a year?

    What a deal!

Our members do want the magazine and events, so we must provide the service. 35 to carry out all of the functions our members want seems fair to me.

We have nearly 79,000 members. Those members must find some value add to being a member of FMCA.  People need to assess what the value proposition is and decide if it is worth having a membership. Just because you don't doesn't mean FMCA is not a viable and valuable organization to many others.

    I agree with Smithy.

I for one enjoy the magazine and look forward to it's arrival monthly. I also enjoy the rallies, in fact I was really looking forward to Tuscon.

We Attend about one rally a year, if not FMCA then a Winnebago rally. We are members of their club too. I will gladly take and use my credit towards a future rally as offered.

    Ian, Thanks for  the feedback,

I normally dump the black tank when it is 1/3 to 1/2 full and the gray tank is full. I dump the black tank first, then the gray tank to flush the sewer hose. Then i flush the toilet 3-4 time with full bowls of water. I have been using Campa Chem. I only have the one bathroom.

Your black tanks should only be dumped when it is 3/4 full or more. Preferably full. Dumping it with only half or less will leave sediment in your tank.

If I was you I would fill both the black and grey tank full, add 2 bottles of Thetford Camp Chem to each, let sit for 3 days then empty. Black tank first.

  12. We"ve been on the road since before Christmas. Currently we're in Tucson.  Due to just about every event and venue being closed due to COVID-19, we have cancelled most of our sightseeing and travels that would have taken us thru New Mexico, back to the Grand Canyon area, and over to Branson MO.

Instead we're going to head out later next week to meet up with friends on Dauphin Island Alabama. We'll spend some time working on our tans and worry about what's next after that.

Be advised. The biggest issue we've encountered so far is getting everyday grocery items. A lot of empty shelves out there.
