We are going to be traveling IH10 to El Paso and IH25 on to Albuquerque but we are located on IH10 near San
Antonio. We want to go through Truth or Consquences, NM (was Hot Springs when I was a child). I spent my
summers there for many years with my grandparents and aunt and uncle. Just want to see what it looks like now.
We have never had any problems traveling IH10 to Arizona. I really do not have any concerns other than the traffic in
El Paso. We are planning to get through there during the non peak traffic periods.
Enjoy your trip and hope to see you in Albuquerque.

Seajay,
I now understand why you do not flyfish. I love you stories! We must meet you someday. Maybe in Albuquerque if you are there.

We were looking at an inflatable for our moho and using a Kota trolling motor on it. We just got into fly fishing and love it. We suck at it, but we still have fun.It is always great to someone getting into flyfishing. My father-in-law got me started on the Conejos river in southern Colorado almost 39 years ago. It is the only equipment I use now. I sucked at first but with some practice it becomes natural and you don't even think about it. Good luck with a fun and challenging sport.

I have never heard of adding acid to your deep cycle batteries. I also use deep cycle batteries at a small remote hunting cabin (with a solar charger) for a 12 volt lighting system. Ionly use distilled water in those batteries and my motorhome batteries. I would caution to only use distilled water and not tap water. As expense as these batteries are I would replace them when they fail.

I own a Class A and would not have a problem with a Super C being allowed into a park. I would not want any class parked next to me if it was in a state of disrepair. As pianodan said, if a motorhome presents a good clean appearance I don't see why anyone would want to turn them away.

3M and Permatex make several types of spray adhesives for various applications. Many of them list wood and foam bonding among other materials. You can find many of these in automotive stores such as Autozone and Advanced Auto Parts. I am not sure about being able to attach a WD40 type straw. You might give a local auto store a call.
Good luck with the repair.

We have not volunteered there but love going there. We took our son there when he was five and he has now taken his two boys there. Maybe that influenced his life - he is retiring in May after 21 years in the United States Navy.
We have recently placed our home on the market and look forward to fulfilling volunteer interests we have had for many years. This is one location we had not thought about but it would be interesting.

This had some useful information for all of us Newbies and it was fun reading.
Seajay sounds so much like my father-in-law!

It is really great to see more new members of this great organization! We bought our first motorhome in January 2009 and have been in a learning phase for a year with short weekend trips and three or four day trips. We will see how much we have learned when we make the trip next month to Albuquerque.
We just recently put our home on the market so when it sells we intend to join you and start enjoying the good life. We really look forward to fulltiming.

Thanks for the question Bob. I was just getting ready to ask that one myself. This will be our first convention also. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

I am new to FMCA (less than one year) but I would hate to see this organization go under. I really cannot believe five dollars a year is going to make or break anyone. You can always bypass the increase by renewing before the deadline and also taking advantage of the multiple year renewal. If we do not want an increase then we need to decide what benefits we want to give up and convey that information to the Board.

Brett,
We are going to try to make it. Looks like we can work it in between "Frustration Free RVing" and "Choosing A Home Base & Communicating On The Road." We will be getting on the road next Thursday and should be there sometime around noon on Saturday.
We look forward to this convention and seminars.
