  1. We went from a 2004 Diplomat 40 ft. with a ISC 330 to a 2012 Diplomat 43ft with the Maxforce 10. Have about 6000 miles on it. It rides and runs better than the 04. The tag axle really make a big difference. Our fuel mileage running 65 on the Interstate is about the same-- about 8.6 mpg. Duane L 2012 Diplomat 43 DFT
  2. Just traded a 2004 Diplomat 40 PRT for a 2012 Diplomat 43 DFT at the Monaco International Pre Rally. We love the full wall slide and all the extra room, plus the half bath in the center. Having a tag axle makes a huge difference in the ride and handling. My lifetime mileage with the 04 Dip ISC 330 was 8.6 mpg. On our 650 mile trip home from Springfield OH averaged 9.6 mpg with Maxforce 10. The 2012 has a little over 5000 miles on so not really broken in yet. I set the cruise at 65 mph and use economy mode on Allison
  3. If it has had the Source Engineering upgrade trailing arm it will be OK. If it has the Ride upgrade it will be a lot better. My advice is to test drive a 8 bag chassis also then decide which ride you like better. I almost bought a Safari but then ended up with a Monaco Diplomat
  4. The numbers are the length of the coach (more or less). The letters are the floor plan. Duane L 2004 Diplomat 40PRT
