  1. Hello Sgt Major from a retired USAF CMSgt. Let's not sugar-coat the facts. My Thai wife and I have enjoyed Rving for the last 13 years, and have ran into the same type people who camp as those who do not. When we encounter those rare folks that cannot see beyond color or ethnicity, we move on down the road.

RVing is a huge neighborhood with room for all of us! Don't worry about skin color - go enjoy life.

  2. Is US 26 worth taking between Portland and Boise? We have a 40' w/tow and would like to see the area less traveled, rather than I-84, but we are not sure if the road will beat you up. Can anyone advise of some points of interest along this highway if it is worth the bypass. We have no train to catch.

We traveled that road and found it to be quite good. Near John Day, we found Clyde Holliday State Park - a wonderful place to spend a day or two.

  3. Air systems are notorious for leaks. I would not be concerned about slight leaks in the air bags, but leaks in other air system components may cause concern. To determine if your system is functioning normally, perform the system test. It was published in a past FMCA magazine, and you should be able to locate it using the search function.

  4. I agree, I-40 is a good road ('cept for Amarillo to OK City) and probably the most direct route available. I have travelled it many times, but the trucks and speed demons make me want a different route. We want to see America - the small towns, country roads, etc - one of the reasons we travel by RV.

  5. Am planning a trip going going east through Memphis to Sevierville, TN and prefer not to use I-40. Am considering US-65 from Memphis to Chattanooga and then US-411 north. According to my Street Atlas program, That route adds 37 miles to the trip compared to the super-slab through Nashville. Would appreciate comments, please. I could use I-40 from Flagstaff, AZ all the way, but 3,800 miles of I-40 would be booorrring, and rough?
