Today I started my MH and ran the engine for a while (10min.). Every thing was OK then I started my generator. It took a couple of starts to catch on (has not been started for a while). The generator went to high idle then dropped to the pre running rate 1600 then to the idle speed 1000rpm. I was waiting for the 110 power to show up on the coach panel-- no read out? Then I check the Silverleaf it showed 110 volts output, ran a diagnostic thru the Sliverleaf no defaults. The Silverleaf also starts and stops the generator. So then I turned on the AC no response. House panel still not showing a volts OOOO. I turned off the generator unit and tried a couple of time more not response. I checked the breakers-- all good. Look at the Electrical cabinet all fuses were lit up (all good) Most are 12volt though. Does anyone know were the problem could be, I would like to fix this problem myself or have any possible reasons the voltage is not getting transferred to the coach. The motorhome is Country Coach Magna 2002 Thanking one with some answers in advance' Ross'

This is my input. Find what you want, do research on that Motorhomes, check into the servicing and any repair's its had. I would only (my option only) buy a pusher diesel with an Allison 6speed in these times with fuel this high, make sure that it is a serviceable MH and a side radiator is a super plus. (do not buy one with a small engine they use more fuel ie. not enough power! Coach/MH companies buy the best deal not the best engine combo for your MH, so a high quality MH is a better bet. Motorhomes are expensive and you do not want to start out with a problem one. I spent (wife on the computer me following up) 4+ months reading about all models we were looking at. We found out real quickly there are lots of so/so MH out their some real bad one too. Everyone has their own wants and needs, budget is a concern' so really shop, do not believe sales people (all they want is a commission). I found what I wanted and made a super deal and have been pleased with the out come, the wife got what she wanted in the interior and I in the drive line. All bloggers are very opinionated and self serving (they don't think that way?) but they are. So from this Motorhome owner all I can tell Ya' is find what you think you want then research it well. Good Luck Rz'

After see and reading about NM Ballon festival, we have booked in this year. Cannot wait, hearing from members of our MH club and seeing a specials on TV about the event we were sold. Our spot is in the middle of the fair grounds, so we will not have to drive to get into the event. Saw your photo and had to comment' Thanks for getting us excited again, just a few more months.

Looking For Your OPINION on CLASS A Motorcoaches

Well, that is a (you have) tuff choice, we were Vintage trailer people restoring trailers and using them until they sold, lucky for us they would sell in a very short time. After a few trailer's we wanted something much larger, had rented gas powered MH but were very Un-happy the way they drove and how small they all were lack of power, So I started looking for a very kool bus conversion look at quite a few and the prices were very good' but they all have some type of issue or limited usage (most important the Bus values were decreasing at a fast rate like 5th wheels) so after look at buses and smaller MH we stared looking for a large diesel pusher MH some were between 38 & 42 feet, we had 22, 24 26 and 30 travel trailers. Then after months of internet searches and fact finding missions! We came up with CAT or Cummings for Power with 6speed Allison Transmission, Then it was my wife turn to look and find interior features she wanted (that took a while). We shopped all brands and decided that a good used upper end better value Motorhome was what we wanted (we are planning on living in it asap). So we ended up with a CC Magna (Magna because of the deal we made and I like the tag now) we looked at Beavers (good ones) Tiffen (Zephyr model) Monaco and Fort-travel all good values with lots of amenities. Newell and Prevost were out of our price range. We purchased a 600K MH for less than a 1/4 of the cost, buy shopping and making a deal for cash. Seller needed the money! We got much more in our model that we ever expected! ended up with 40ft. Just great for us has 2 slides and lot of cargo area. So In conclusion shop, shop, look, look, check out the brand and the quality the company is or was known for ie. Quality style and reputation. Our coach is now 8.5 yrs old and we are coming up on a 100k no issues to speak of, all problems have been minor. As I stated earlier' do your home work and look for the deals they are out there. I hope this helped a little? Regards' Ross -
Does the Solar charging panel need to be disconnected when my MH is in RV barn? I plug it in and the Heart Inverter has a charging system. Before the had an RV Barn would leave it connected, but when I connected power to the Coach the house batteries would over flow (battery acid out the vents). I lowered the charging voltage to 20amps. and disconnect the Solar. Now I'm using the MH more so I reconnected the solar panel (not a big one, just a battery charging size) and yes I have a controller. Please correct me don't both of these have charging limiters? Now that I'm under roof with very little sun do I need to disconnect the Solar panel or just turn off the house power and let the batteries rest. Any good answers? Thanks Ross'
