  1. Getting ready to use the motorhome on a long trip again and will be on the pump often. Over the winter we were hooked up to city water. I believe the accumulator tank has helped but think our main problem is sediment in the fresh water tank. If I blow out the line from the pump it works well for a short time and then seems to have problems again. Must be a screen on the line inside the tank. Can't figure out how to get the tank clean enough to solve the problem. Suggestions?

  2. I just put on their cover that is shown on their website to fit over the existing cover. The regular cover opens up inside it. This way it can be used during rain, etc. I think even while moving. We put it on because the flickering of the sun through the fan with the stock vent bothered my wife and agravated her migraines. This fixed this problem for us.

  3. I had to return the protect-a-tow. Would not work with rear exhaust on our DP. Expensive mistake paying freight to return it to Canada. I am going with the Blue Ox rock protector that mounts on the tow bar right in front of the car. Not sure if this will protect the bottom of my car to my satisfaction. I may add a piece of belting or like product to the bottom of the shield. I have had a lot of problems with the solid mounted rock guard on the back of our motorhome kicking up debris at our car. I am going to take that off and try mud flaps behind the rear duels instead.

  4. We live on our 2007 Damon Tuscany for a good part of the year, traveling in the summer and going south in it during the winter. We bring a lot of clothes. The rod that holds the hanging clothes has a bracket on each end and one in the middle that is put in the ceiling with two screws.

This bracket has pulled out several times, the rod bends until it comes loose from the sides and all the clothes end up on the floor. Major pain.

Not sure what material the ceiling above this bracket is made of. Seems to be wood. Bigger screws worked for a while but now they have pulled out.

Any ideas to strengthen this bracket?

  5. Just completed the Fall Colors tour and NYC before that. We loved both of them. To us it was worth the cost to have someone that knows the area show us around. If we had tried this on our own, we would not have seen half of what we saw. Loved meeting new people and traveling in a group. Over a months time you make good friends. We are going to Alaska next year and hope to meet nice people on that caravan as well.

  6. After two years I finally installed a 50 amp hand crank reel. Boy do I love it. Wish I had installed it before. Used the old cord to make a 50 amp extension cord.

The other day another RVer told me I should take all the cord off the reel each time I use it to avoid it becoming an electromagnet. Has any one heard of this? Seems to defeat the purpose of having the reel.

  7. Mine has the nut that holds it on. I'll look for a post puller. I think moving a few splines over may solve problem. Right now at rest, the drivers side is about 3 inches above the passenger side. It works fine on slow speed with water. (Tried it in the rain while parked today) Not so hot when traveling down the road at highway speeds. I'll keep you posted after I find the right tool to get it off. Traveling now and don't have the right tool along. Thought I had almost my whole tool box. Never the right tool when you need it.

  8. Herb, I posted earlier that our 2007 Tuscany wipers worked fine and they did. Now after a windshield replacement we have the same problem you had. They work at slow driving speeds on slow, however it we are at highway speeds the drivers side runs off the windshield even with the wipers on the slow setting. I have tried to adjust to line up when they are off. Now realize they don't work well when needed. The Tuscany has a one piece windshield and don't adjust like the earlier post. How did you solve the problem?
