About Me
I was the Transmission Fluids Engineer at Allison Transmission from 1990-2009. While in this position at Allison, I wrote most of Allison's transmission fluid specifications including the TES-295 (TranSynd)specification. I developed the original concept for TranSynd and worked with BP/Castrol to test and approve TranSynd in several fleet tests while I was in my position. I was also a key member of the General Motors Automatic Transmission Fluid Committee and served on the Engine Oil Review Committee at the Society of Automotive Engineer's Lubricant Review Institute for reviewing and approving engine oil formulations for US Army tactical and combat vehicles. I also worked with the world's leading oil companies and additive companies to test and approve hundreds of formulations for Allison products.
Upon retiring from GM and Allison Transmission, I started a new company (JG Lubricant Services). We specialize in oil and coolant analysis and sell kits and supplies at: JG LUBRICANT SERVICES.
I joined the forum to answer any questions that FMCA members might have on Allison Transmission fluid recommendations.
