About Me
I have been a professor of accounting at a small community college in Northeast Florida for the last 20 years. That is my second career as I spent 22 years in the U.S. Navy prior to that as an Aviation Electronics Technician. I also run my own part-time business where I do business consulting and prepare taxes. Consulting was a large part of the business in the early years but I have gradually tilted the business more to the tax side of the house as I have got older and reduced the hours spent in the business, except during tax season. I am Enrolled to practice before the IRS, an Accredited Tax Preparer and an Accredited Tax Advisor.
In my spare time I like to work in the wood shop. We were going to build me a nice new double-car garage as a workshop, but the new MH kind of replaced that.:B
My wife, Doris, has been a Hospice nurse for the last five years. Prior to that she was a Home Health nurse for over 20 years and had her own consulting corporation she ran for a few years where she went all over the country helping home health agencies get set up and comply with Medicare regulations. Prior to that she worked in Surgical ICU and Emergency Rooms.
She loves to do crafts and gardening, though the gardening will take a major hit when we travel. She hates the computer so you will probably see little of her on RV.NET.
We are both reaching the end of our careers and expect to retire in the Spring of 2008 and start spending several months a year on the road in our MH. We are huge Florida Gator fans and plan on attending as many away games as possible when we retire.
