  1. I have a 2008 Monaco Executive with the 525HP ISX with 135K miles. What can I do to make sure I don't have a failure from the valves or fuel injector pump on the road? Can I replace the head/valves with a rebuilt? Can the injector pump ceramic problem be preemptively fixed? Kurt
  2. More data on 2013 Jeep GC: The 2012 and 2014 JGC don't require disconnecting the battery per the Jeep manuals, but the 2013 does for some reason. Jeep won't/can't tell me what the truth is here. I'm looking into an automatic battery disconnect relay from Roadmaster. I'm running an overnight experiment where I've disconnected the Jeep battery. I'll see in the AM if I've lost all the vehicle radio, evic, seat settings. If I have, the Jeep dealer and I are going to talk about my returning the Jeep to them.
  3. Hey, thanks. You're the first one I've found who has experience. I guess I'll try it.
  4. I replaced my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee (4WD). The owners manual says I have to put the ignition in run mode and disconnect the battery to tow it, which wasn't required for the 2004. I called Jeep "Customer Assistance" (not), but no help. The dealer doesn't know, but he's trying to find out. Anyone know if I can tow it on all fours without disconnecting the battery? Can I leave the ignition in the off position (it doesn't seem to lock the steering wheel)? If I disconnect the battery, will it reset all the settings (garage door opener, seat position, radio stations, horn beeps, etc.)? Will it register miles with the ignition off but battery connected? Anyone know how to get technical support from Chrysler?
  5. I replaced my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 2013 Grand Cherokee (4WD) because it didn't require pulling a fuse while towing. The owners handbook didn't mention it, but when I looked at the online manual at Jeep.com, it said I have to disconnect the battery. What this does to all the presets in the vehicle I don't know. I called Chrysler Customer Care, but they have no technical expertise and couldn't connect me to any except to refer me back to the dealer. The dealer has been trying to help, but he can't find out what position the key has to be in or whether the battery has to be disconnected or a fuse pulled while towing. Anyone know where I can find out? Kurt Simon
