  1. I had a similar problem on my 1996 Monaco a few months ago. The low coolant light would come on and go off as we were traveling but the coolant level in the overflow bottle was good. I fashioned a brush to go into the bottle through the filler cap hole. Cleaned the probe in the bottle with the brush and it was OK for a short while. Didn't want to change the probe and since I had 5year coolant that was 5 years I changed it. Have had no more low coolant light indications in about 3months and 3000 miles of driving.
  2. There was some discussion a while ago about this bottle. I have 96 Monaco Winsor and it uses a Volvo bottle p/n 3966106. It is available from Amazon under this p/n for $129.53. Just some information on this item.
  3. Why couldn't you get the pump and matching motor from one of the HRs at VISEON RV and put them in your RV as a set?
  4. In regards to the fan motor and other parts you need to get you back on the road-- if new parts are not available your only resource is used. In my 40 years of experience working on all types of vehicles I have had very good experience with used parts. My question is-- did you call http://en.visonerv.com/? I find it hard to believe that they do not have the parts you need since they have many HR and Monaco vehicles they are wrecking out. I wouldn't put up with the treatment you are getting. They either lack the knowledge or the ability to fix it. My advice to you is to tell them to fix it in a timely manner or I will take it to some one that can .In my estimation six months without the RV is unacceptable.
  5. My problem was similar to yours in that the spitter valve was leaking excessively.
  6. We live in the Sacramento CA area and our travels have taken us to the east coast twice and numerous places on the west coast durring the time since the filter was changed. Most of the travel has been in the west where the air is dryer. I don't know when it started to disintegrate but the desicant was dry and powdery. It lined the tanks with about an eight of an inch of white powder and also went all through the air system including all the air valves. The failure was such that it caused the dryer exhaust to leak excessively not allowing the compressor to build air in the tanks. I made it home by bypassing the dryer with a piece of hose. My purpose with this thread was to alert diesel MH owners about this failure and the importance of routine maintenance on the dryer. I believe my problem was due to neglect on my part for not performing the required maintenance on it. Freightliner recommends 2years or 20000 miles. after this fiasco you can bet that I will follow their recommendations. Thanks for the interest.
  7. If you can't get new parts a good place to get used ones is http://rvparts.visonerv.com/. Phone number 606 843 9889. They are currently wrecking out 21 late model Holiday Rambler diesel pusher motor homes.
  8. I recently had a low air light warning in the air brake system. I was 500 miles from home. I jury rigged the system to get it home. The first thing I looked at was the air drier. The desiccant filter had come apart and the white powder went all through the air system. Repair necessitated new air tanks, new foot brake valve, overhaul of the rear brake relay valve and overhaul of the park brake relay valve.. I was able to clean the 5 air lines that go from front to back. The cost in parts alone was about $1000 and about 3 weeks of my labor. I believe that this failure was a result of my neglect on servicing the air drier at least every 2 years or 20000 miles as Freightliner recommends. Mine went 3+ years and 40000 miles.Just a word of warning to perform regular service on this component. It is easily forgotten.
