  1. 1999 Monaco Diplomat 38A, tachometer quit working, alternator light is on, gauge shows charge rate of 12v. Engine batteries are less than 1 year old, and are fully charged. Any ideas on where to look before I take to a repair facility. Thanks for your help.
  2. I had a similar situation this past summer. Check the power terminals on the starter motor. On mine the large cables from the batteries were sulphated and cleaned up nicely with a baking powder solution, however, the small wire from the starter relay, was badly corroded. I replaced the starter and the bad terminal end and have had no problems since. I may not have had to replace the starter motor, however it appeared to be the original from 1999.
  3. I have a 1999 Monaco Diplomat and the air dump switch is labeled 'air dump' in the row of rocker switches left of the steering column. The ignition has to be turned to the left in the accessory position and the switch held down until air is completely dumped from the system.
