  1. Ford has changed their policy about using "authorized" non Ford dealers. I had a similar problem when our boot broke. I spoke with Ford & they said they would authorize Statkus Engines to do the work when we got back to NM. They even called Statkus & gave them a reference number. When we got there Statkus said Ford was refusing to approve the work. I've been fighting with Ford about it & have written a complaint to the BOD & now getting ready to fire off a letter to the TX Attorney General along with all the documentation I have regarding this situation. I have been told by several RV dealers that Ford is now requiring people to go to a Ford car/truck dealer & unless there is none within 40 miles that can service RV's they will not authorize the work.
