    Sorry manholt, but you are incorrect. The Smartbrake utilizes the motorhome brake controller to tell the Smartbrake unit in the toad when to brake. RoberS, you need to contact the Smartbrakellc and have them help you with the cable adjustments on your Smartbrake. Roger

    Wrightcamping, Have you found out if you need to install a master battery disconnect? I also have the evenbrake.

    Also, did you have the permanent baseplate safety cables installed? They are there to keep the towed vehicle connected in case of bracket failure. Roger

    I am following this thread closely, I am considering a 2015 Cherokee, and use Blue Ox. Please post the fix to your broken brackets. Roger
