About Me
I have been involved in motorhoming including FMCA for most of my life.
My parents joined in 1969 when we purchased a converted city bus, called it Brunhilda and starting taking camping trips together. We sold that bus in 1970 and bought a 35' 1957 Fitzjohn bus. We loved this bus so much that we sold our home, cars and stored our personal belongings and traveled around the country for 8 months.
We finally settled on Colorado since my dad was from Germany and the mountains reminded him of his home country. We joined the great folks with the Rocky Mountain chapter of FMCA and my parents served as President for two years. Since my parents were both teachers, we were able to rent out our home each summer and take 3 month trips each year.
My dad finally sold the Fitzjohn in 1992, but when I got married arund the same time we purchased a Tiffin 1991 Allegro Bay after my first son was born. We took many great trips in that motor home, and now we have a 33' Southwind.
