    Full Timing

We are selling our house and plan on full timing for a few years. Can someone explain the method and benefits of establishing residency in South Dakota? We would like to take necessary steps this June.
  2. I drove our 2007 Monaco Diplomat to fuel it up and noticed an error code 1 in the odometer window. Any ideas on what this means? All info is appreciated.
  3. If I understand you Ray, you don't disconnect the 3" hose from the main black/gray discharge valve wye except when you use the Polychute for extended stays. I guess leaving it hooked up while traveling, valves off would work, eleminating one potential spill. The Monaco manual does say disconnect and stow Sani Con hose. I do have a cap for it also. Will try your process next time. Thanks to all.
  4. I have tried to use the Sani Con system on our 07 Monaco Diplomat but always seems to be messy. I have tried different ways to use it and I can never get it drained completely which turns into a mess. How do I get the 3" hose which attaches the black/gray discharge valves to the macerator drained? After numerous attempts each time I disconnect it there is water/waste still there which drains into the compartment or on the ground. YUCK
  5. We took a trip in our 2007 Monaco Diplomat to the North Coast of Ca over Thanksgiving. It was a very wet and muddy trip, rain from Fort Bragg to our home near Sacramento. Lots of spray from traffic on I5 etc. Parked the coach at our inside storage and let it sit for a little over a week. Yesterday while staff was bringing the coach out for a bath, the E brake would not release. Over the phone I told them to dump the tanks, check for water in the air tanks, verify the leveling system had not accidentally been activated and cycle the Trans a few times. They called back and said everything was in proper condition and said they had gotten the E brake to release by nudging the throttle. They said they could hear the E brakes release and the nudge moved the coach. What should I do after a wet ride and is it possible that some corrosion to the brakes happened? Confused about this.
  6. Thanks, the antenna does have an additional output which is used to install an additional receiver but I would have to run another coax to the second TV set which would be difficult. We never are watching two different channels at the same time anyway, too much to do and see!
  7. Checked pressure before trip after dealer installed and at the destination. I will check it next week after the trip, as always. Put the coach in the barn and came home to watch football. Thanks
  8. I have the King Flex Cube programed to Direct TV now and it works great, except it can't receive HD from Direct. I am thinking of changing to Dish HD as the King Flex Cube can receive Dish HD. Has anyone done this with this antenna? My TV's are digital and HD compatible so this should not be an issue. \ Yes I did know that it would not receive HD from Direct but I thought I could live without it and had an extra Direct box at home (call me cheap) but now miss HD on the road.
  9. We just replaced all 6 wheels with the XZE 275/80R 22.5 on our 07 Diplomat. They are great, we drove 500 miles in varied weather from Sacramento the North Coast of CA for Thanksgiving. The tires are quiet, track well and no sign of water issues in the rain. The coach is very smooth although I seem to sense a little wandering but possibly the wind. I will check pressure this week. All in all I am super satisfied with the program and the XZE choice.
  10. Just used the program at our local Les Schawb Tire Center. It was a fairly painless process and I am very pleased with the results. When I used the Find a Dealer function in the program it gave me only commercial truck tire dealers who were 20 - 30 miles from me. Our local Les Schawb is 5 miles away and provided excellent service. I look forward to concentrating on the joy of driving our coach not paranoid of a tire failure with possible collateral damage!
  11. My wiper arms, when retracted (down) fall below the windshield to body gasket. Can I remove the wiper arms and rotate them up (clockwise) to have them resting on window glass? I can't seem to find the washer fluid tank to check, any ideas on location. My manual does not have a listing for window washer tank refill procedures. 2007 Monaco Diplomat 40'
  12. Cleaned both holding tanks and all level sensors are working now. Putting the coach in storage for a couple of months. Should I now refill and put tank chemical in or just a minimal amount of water and chemical?

    Slide Gaskets

Any recommendations on products to lube or condition these seals. 2007 Monaco Diplomat. Gaskets look dull and minor checking.
  14. How do I access the screws securing the taillight assembly to the coach? I have tried through the door to coolant tank but can't seem to get to it. Does the fixture need to be removed to change bulbs?
  15. New to diesels, when in storage (inside above freezing) should the fuel tank be full and are there additives needed to stabilize the fuel? We will be in storage for 2 months.
  16. Just cleaned the filters and wondering if there are any more efficient filters. My wife has pulmonary issues and we would like to use the most efficient filters approved. Currently we have the flimsy filter cloth installed.

  19. When running roof air, the condensation drains onto the roof and disperses over the sides of the coach in several areas. It makes a streaking mess on the painted sides of the coach (2007 Monaco Diplomat). Is there a method of concentrating this water to a main drain? The water catches on the slide toppers so when retracted you get splashed.
  20. Thanks for the suggestions, will try them and hope for the best!
  21. We have a 2007 Monaco Diplomat with interior and wet bay tank level gauges. Both say the same thing but are incorrect, Black is always 2/3 full and gray is 1/3 full even after dumping. Is their a maintenance needed on the sensors or some type of special cleaner or?
