    Consider the panhandle around Destin. Henderson Beach State Park is on the Gulf. Twelve miles east is Topsail Preserve State Park, our favorite. They have a shuttle to take you 1/2 mile to the beach. Other options are State Parks at Panama City Beach, and St George Island State Park near Apalachicola.
