Monument Valley in Utah was the site of many Hollywood westerns. John Wayne starred in many of these movies. We tucked our 2000 National Tropi-Cal into its assigned site at Gouldings Campground and settled in for the night and a spectacular starry sky before touring the valley the next day.

Our National RV Tropi-Cal is pictured at our campsite in Goblin Valley State Park, near Hanksville, Utah. The park contains thousands of mushroom-shaped pinnacles or hoodoos a few feet high that someone obviously thought resembled goblins. Several Hollywood movies were filmed here, i.e. City Slickers, City Slickers ll and Galaxy Quest. From our campsite we could see several buttes and mesas in the far distance.
