  1. You can take a ferry from a couple of places from VT into NY. Upper most area is into Platsburgh then south on Rt. 87 (aka Adirondack Northway) then into Lake Placid.

If your looking for leaf peeping your season is a bit earlier then Oct. There is a KOA in Lake Placid. In Lake Placid you watch ski jumping, bob sledding etc. Remember that most campgrounds in this region start closing mid Sept - mid Oct. Reason, Snow and possible freezing conditions.

Very beautiful region that time of year.

  2. I'd go with a side rad. As mentioned above, service is a lot easier. Take a look at the rear rad. and see if you can notice dirt and oil residue on the engine side of it. A lot of the older coaches didn't have the slobber tube run properly causing blow back onto the rad. making it a night mare to clean due to limited access to it. This crude has a tendency to make the engine run hot.

  3. There are a number of places in the Lake George region. (Lake George is in the Adirondack Mountains, about 50 miles north of Albany, the lake is know as " The Queen of Americas Lakes" its 32 miles long and spring fed).

There is a nice campground call King Phillips Family Campground. It is south of the Village of Lake George, about a mile, phone # 518 668-5763. Unknown about rental units. Whats nice is you can take the trolly/tram into the Village of go south to the shopping outlets, cost $1.00 per person. Plenty of mom and pop hotels along Rt. 9 in that area.

Also, there is a KOA in Lake Luzerne, same exit of the Northway Rt. 87 as the Village, exit 21. They have cabins for rent. Never stayed at the KOA. Many times at King Phillips. Lake George RV park is BIG $$$.

Plenty to do in the Village. The state runs the Million Dollar beach on the south end of the lake.

  4. Anyone have a problem with the wiper arms breaking? I had the drivers side break at the spindle three weeks ago.

This past weekend while driving the pass. side broke about two inches up from the spindle.

Unit is a '07 Newmar KSDP. Newmar said they never heard of such.
