About Me

Mike & Shirley McKeown...married 37 years, 2 children 35 & 31, 4 "grands"-2 boys 3 y/o & 5 m/o, 2 girls 4 y/o & 7 m/o. We are in retail business (have been for 27 years)-retail pharmacy-gift shop-soda fountain/grill,and bridal registry all in 1 building. We are still working but decided about 3 years ago to buy a MH now and pay on it while working rather than to wait to after retirement (figured if we did--we would talk ourselves out of doing it). May 06 bought 38' Expedition--really enjoyed it--made all the usual mistakes newbys make and had to have lots of stuff repaired (fortunately-no accidents). We decided we wanted to upgrade several features and decided to trade while MH still had value. We bought an '08 Revolution at the Sept.08 FCMA 6 states rally in No. Little Rock, Ar. We got a great trade in--but then fuel went "through the roof" later in the fall and the economy really began to "tank"--so i questioned my sanity--BUT we love our coach and hope to use it many years and are glad we traded. We hope to see the US and much of Canada in the next 8-10 years. The longest trip we've taken in our Revolution is 1600 miles to Smokey Mtns and Asheville,NC--had a wonderful trip. We were amused at the recent forum where continuous repair problems were discussed by MH owners. Our coach has been in the shop for warranty work 3 times (it's there now) since we bought at the end of Sept 08...I agree with what one person said--seems like after every trip, you have to send it to the shop...we live in Monticello, Ar., a community of 10 M people approx. 1 1/2 hr. south of Little Rock, Ar.--you can visit our city web and also our store ad (City Drug) at "Monticellolive.com". Happy traveling!
