  3. After reading the above posts I learned to use the pac brake. I now plan ahead better at start of the downhill flip the pac brake switch on slow down for it to downshift. Thanks to everyone for the advise
  4. Hello 2003 Monaco Diplomat 40 DST Cummins 8.1 I bought this coach used and never used a pac brake before. Have read the very brief info in the coach master manuel also searched this site. I don't think I am using it correct. The speed continued to increase going down Cuesta grade near San Luis Obispo. Could someone give my some pointers on pac brake operation? What speed do u start at? shift down first to get rpms up ? Please help I feel like a FNG
  5. Thank you for your responses, I will buy automatic and just discovered they now have 8 speed automatics which gives 9% better fuel economy. It also may be a daily driver when not towing.
  6. Hello everyone, I am looking to buy a Wranger 2012 or newer. Trying to decide btw Auto or manuel trans. I am leaning towards the manuel due long time proven toad. The auto is towable per owners manuel. But after reading about people stopping and shifting gears every so often to keep things lubricated. I wondering if the manuel is better way to go. I have a knee replacement and the auto wound be easier. Thank you for your time to read my post.

  9. Hello everyone, Still working on my laundry list of things to fix on my just bought 2003 Diplomat. It has a four door Norcold frig. The latch allows the door to loosen just enough to start the open door alarm. Even parked for the night just walking around the coach it goes off, slight push hear a click and Alarm goes off then in a few minutes it is sounding if again. I looked for adjustment and searched this forum. Any ideas?

  12. Hello I am servicing my 2003 Monaco Diplomat Cummins 330hp Allison 3000 trans Tried searching previous topics but no luck. My wire to guage is not hooked up at trans cannot locate sender maybe was removed. Can anyone help me figure this out? Thank you
  13. Hello everyone, Just got my purchase of 2003 Monaco Diplomat 40 DST home and working on list of things to fix. The 12v power outlets in dash does not work. I have been searching this site and manuels first. Traced wire from outlets to driver side wall, have not removed the big cover in the front driver side Bay. Don't want to remove something I shouldn't so wanted to ask first. I also checked the panel in back. Does anyone know where the dash 12v power outlets fuse is?

  15. Hello everyone, I just got home with my purchase of a 2003 Monaco Diplomat 40 DST. On our trip noticing newer coaches paint jobs. I am interested in repainting ours. I realize it won't be cheap but we got pre def, low miles coach. Has anyone ever done a complete paint job and where? Please put any pics or new paint. Thank you for reading
