I am going to make every effort to make the Urbanna Oyster Festival in Urbanna VA. Its November 3 and 4th 2017. Below are the campgrounds closest to the town. IF anyone is going, please let me know. Maybe we can get together and have a FMCA meet and greet or something. I have not made reservations yet but I hear we should make them by January cause we might not get a spot. They are about $90 a night that weekend Bethpage Camp-Resort 804-758-4349 Urbanna, VA. Bush Park Campground 804-776-6750 Deltaville, VA. Grey’s Point Camp 804-758-2485 Topping, VA. I do a lot of cooking here at home with electrical appliances (crockpot, NuWave oven) and since we won't be running the generator all the time when we move into the RV, things like using the crockpot won't happen. I don't plan on cooking inside the coach much because I don't want to warm it up inside before we have to go to bed so I'll mostly be cooking outside on the grill and 2 burner coleman stove. What do you find easiest for you to prepare? What are your main 'go-to' meals? I jokingly told my hubby it was going to be ramen noodles & hotdogs because of limited reefer space and storage but I hope it doesn't come down to that! LOL! Please share your cooking ideas & even some recipes if you feel like it. Much appreciated! ~Alisa
Hello everyone! We are Tim and Alisa Sheets. We live in Nevada and are in our late 40's/early 50's with grown children and 12 grandbabies & one on the way . We've recently bought a 1987 Bounder and will begin full-timing at the end of April. It's both exciting and scary . We're going to Washington to do a gate attendant job for 5 months up by Spirit Lake. We're looking forward to it; it sounds really pretty there but I'm kind of worried about not having any electricity. We are walking away from our home & selling practically everything we own. Deciding what to put in the motor home is pretty daunting. I don't even know where to start. We don't want to have to rent a storage shed for anything. Any tips for downsizing? Also, I'm used to having a well stocked refrigerator. How do y'all shop and store food with those small fridges? I know that people are able to have TV and internet when they are RVing.... how do you do that? Sorry, lot's of questions. I'll be browsing this site to see if I can find answers. Any hints/tips/advice will be greatly appreciated. ~Alisa
