oldgrape Report post Posted October 22, 2016 Hello all. I replaced my NORCOLD fridge with a residential one. I have been trying to figure out how to close off the exterior vent door for the fridge. The AC escapes out the vent part of the panel.I tried spray foam but that just made a mess. Anyone out there figure out a good way to seal it off?
abyrd Report post Posted October 22, 2016 I took a 2" thick piece of foil faced Styrofoam and attached Velcro strips. I install when RV need heating, otherwise I remove it. I blocked the ceiling vent with same material and leave in place. Jim
BillAdams Report post Posted October 22, 2016 I used spray foam. Just tape up the vents from the outside and foam it from the inside. I left the roof vent open but if I wanted to seal that I would likely use something similar to what abyrd did.
