rpbuttery Report post Posted November 10, 2016 My 2011 Allegro Open Road RED fibreglass roof is oxidized (chalky to the touch). Is there a preferred method of cleaning and resealing a fibreglass motorhome roof? A preferred sealant/wax brand?
hermanmullins Report post Posted November 10, 2016 rp, A good cleaning and sealant is OK. Waxing is not. Cleaning and sealing will reduce the residue that can run down the sides of your coach. (Won't stop it completely but will help). Waxing will be slick and dangerous when you have to be on top. Herman
manholt Report post Posted November 10, 2016 No problem with snow, bugs, birds or Santa on a wax roof !
rpbuttery Report post Posted November 10, 2016 Thanks. Any suggestions as far as brand for a cleaner/sealant?
hermanmullins Report post Posted November 10, 2016 Not sure of brands, have ours done at FMCA National Rally. Small cost to have top cleaned and sealed plus having the coach washed and wheels shined. Less labor for me and I don't have to get on the roof. Herman
manholt Report post Posted November 11, 2016 Dicor comes to mind...it's good for all types of roofs! They also have tape and caulking,,,Amazon, Camping World, PPL. Carry it. Carl
