Personally, I would answer yes.  You will lose so much on the depreciation the first few years it might surprise you.  If you don't want to get one as old as you were originally thinking, at least give some serious thought to a similar unit a couple of years old.

Roland, I agree with Bill A. New is better in something's in my opinion RV's in todays world isn't one of them. Especially after the economy crash a few years ago, the quality hasn't bounced back.

My opinion is clearly biased as my research led me to a 2007 Newmar MAPD.  That being said, one of the main drivers for me was the differences in sidewall construction.  Newmar is one of the few brands that do not use laminated sidewalls.  A leak in a coach that has laminated sidewalls can end up being really expensive if delamination occurs.
