rodmanb294 Report post Posted January 7, 2010 If I'm legally able to drive a registered Motorhome (a Converted MCI 9 --DayCoach setup) in the state of NewJersey, am I legal in all other states?
kalynzoo Report post Posted January 7, 2010 I believe under the statute of "full faith and credit" drivers licenses are honored by all 50 states.
wolfe10 Report post Posted January 7, 2010 I believe under the statute of "full faith and credit" drivers licenses are honored by all 50 states. Correct. Driver's licensing does have reciprocity between states. Vehicle and driving restrictions do NOT. Each state sets their own limits on things like max overall length, gross GAWR (though many follow the federal guidelines), speed limits, etc. So, yes, you are legal to drive. Your rig may or may not be. Brett Wolfe
tbutler Report post Posted January 8, 2010 There is another discussion on this forum that deals with reciprocity and other aspects of drivers licensing. You can read through the various comments here. Reciprocity of drivers license applies to all 50 states and all of Canada as well. The above discussion has more information and I encourage you to read through it carefully.
