jklafave Report post Posted October 1, 2017 I am winterizing my Whirlpool residential frig with ice maker. Running rv antifreeze through the system but the slush coming out of the ice maker is not pink. It smells like antifreeze and is not making ice cubes, only slush, but not pink. Is this normal? 747guy Report post Posted October 1, 2017 Do you have a filter inside the fridge? This may be removing the colouring from the antifreeze. If you taste the slush you will quickly recognize the sweet taste of anti freeze.
wildebill308 Report post Posted October 1, 2017 You might as well take the filter out as you will need a new one next year. I would say if the ice cubes arn't freezing you are good. Bill

manholt Report post Posted October 1, 2017 Jeff. Welcome! Remove filter and toss. Your good to go into hibernation! You must live near the Artic Circle...a tad early for storage? We generally get our Snow Birds after Halloween!

manholt Report post Posted October 1, 2017 Here we currently have Dove, Deer don't start until November. Everything is not bigger in Texas, we have no Moose or Elk....unless they are on a Exotic Game Ranch!
