pbrosher Report post Posted December 3, 2017 Keep getting code U0115 which says that the transmission is not communicating with the ECM. Happens mainly in the colder days. Had ECM replaced and it worked for about 8 months and then when we were heading south last winter it started up again. Had Freightliner try to find the problem to no avail. They said that everything was working fine. It worked OK for about2 months then started it up and when I put in gear the lights all came on again stating "Check Engine", Check "Transmission" and the code still said Diagnostic code "U0115 came on. This is getting to be a pain in the rear. Every time I've had it in to the repair shop it always comes back "NO problem found"
wolfe10 Report post Posted December 3, 2017 pbrosher, Welcome to the FMCA Forum. Please tell us what model year chassis, as well as what engine and transmission you have. Thanks.
dickandlois Report post Posted December 3, 2017 pbrosher, Welcome to the FMCA Forum. Sounds like a intermittent connection between the ECM and TCM ! I would investigate having the harness running between the 2 replaced. That would eliminate both cable ends and the wiring. Rich.
