Place To Leave Motorhome Near Houston Hobby

Question

We are looking to find a safe and inexpensive place to leave our rig while we take RT flights from Hobby airport early on Sunday morning April 1st and returning Wednesday April 25th. We are full time work campers with a new class c and a small tow car. Anyone taking their time to suggest is greatly appreciated, Thank you :)

We keep our MH in America's Storage, Dickinson (now Texas City where they are located) Phone: 281-339-5200 and talk to Tammy. They have some outside storage but it may also be possible to get covered storage for that short of a time frame.

Other possibilities would be some of the campgrounds in the area where you could spend some time in the MH and then possibly store on their premises until you come back. Upon return you could move into a spot.   Look at rvparkreviews.com for CGs near Hobby.  Look at Kemah, League City. Dickinson areas as all are within 20-25 miles of Hobby.

Great (or is that small) minds think alike.

I just called Tammy at Americas Storage to see what she has available. Right now they have no covered or indoor availability.  But absolutely, check with her as the time gets closer. It is a good safe location, half an hour south of Hobby, and with the exception of a few outside sites, all come with 15 amp power.

On second though, wouldn't hurt to give her a call and get on a "waiting list" then confirm far enough ahead to leave yourself a "plan B".

You can tell here you are the guy Brett asked about.

Thank you! I have called several campgrounds who responded well on the phone. I have been quoted a monthly rate which is three times the cost of our airline tickets LOL. I will look in those other areas and try calling Tammy- Thank you :)

Tammy is easy to work with.  I have given her permission to use my stall whenever we are away. She sometimes get people traveling and need short term storage.  As Brett stated, get on the waiting list. The worse that can happen is you have to cancel 'cause you found another place. Don't know yet if we will be away in April.
