bobschultz Report post Posted July 20, 2018 Our bath vent fan cover will not go up. The two gears off the cover motor are working fine. It appears that the cover arm is not engaging properly with the motor gears. The fan motor is a Jenson by Elixir, Model # V971232E-C; but I see no name or model number on the actual cover motor. Is there a way to repair the cover arm or will I just have to buy a new cover assembly (arm, motor, etc.)? Thanks for any advise. 2009 Winnebago Journey
manholt Report post Posted July 21, 2018 Bob. Have you been on the roof and looked at your amenture? Probably sliped out of it's grove. You should be able to open the cover from inside, manually!
hermanmullins Report post Posted July 21, 2018 The drive motor with knob is about $45.00 and the lift arm is $11.00. Just replace both on my bath exhaust fan. Two screws hold the drive motor onto the case. Four screws hold the case cover on. When you drop down the arm is held up with would screws. Remove motor then case cover. Replace lift arm and reverse operation. Motor is splined as is the lift arm. Hope this helps. Herman
