ms_kitty Report post Posted December 2, 2018 Possibly everyone but me knows but my toad was totalled and my insurance company (usaa) considered the tow bracket and lighting harness for 4 wheel down towing to have $0 value. It was @ $1000 to install on my replacement vehicle. My advice is check with your insurance company & if you're a usaa customer, consider your options & risk. manholt Report post Posted December 2, 2018 I had a Colorado 4 x 4, attached to a coach and hit a nasty RR crossing in West Texas...Broke the tow bar and bent the hitch. USAA paid $750, I have $500 deductible! Have used USAA on various autos, homes, MC & Motor Homes (they stopped doing coach/mc's in 2004), from 1964 to present. Perhaps covering hitches have changed, my coach and toad, including tow bar, etc is now with State Farm (2 yrs.)!
ianbullock Report post Posted December 2, 2018 I would expect that much like any after market upgrades, you would have to register them with the insurance company and request additional coverage.
