blakleyfamily Report post Posted December 30, 2018 Our motorhome has a Xantrax Freedom inverter. I have a programmer to program the inverter for battery amp hours so as not to overcharge them, amperage from the shore power source as to not pop a circuit breaker on the power source or ruin the inverter. So my question is, when I am plugged into shore power, the switches for auxiliary and main batteries. come on, do I need to leave those two switches on or can I switch them of and not even use the batteries. Thanks.
wolfe10 Report post Posted December 30, 2018 While on shore power, leave any battery bank that has a smart charger charging it ON. Note: many coaches do not have smart chargers/any chargers on the chassis battery.
