sullivan_yvonne@yahoo.com Report post Posted April 4, 2010 Can anyone help us figure out the cost of driving Interstate 90 from Syracuse, N.Y., to Oregon? I can do a good calculation for the NY state thruway but not for OH, IN and IL. We are in a 40-foot motorhome towing a small truck. Thanks for any help. 0 mdalfano Report post Posted April 7, 2010 I drove that route last summer. Cannot give you specific dollar tolls. I used my EZ pass all the way though. Make sure you have an RV EZ pass for your motorhome. You get the RV at the normal car rate. With that pass, you get discounted tolls. It avoids other states charging higher rate because it is an RV. You get the RV EZ pass thru the NYS Thruway authority.

0 mclavey Report post Posted May 10, 2010 FYI in Illinois the sensors check the length of you rig .... with a toad you will be charged the same as a commercial semi. some of the toll gates will charge as much as $8.00 .... the trip on I90/I294 from Wisconsin to Indiana will cost over $50.00 The rate will be for a large truck Illinois does not have and "RV" class any longer for tolls. http://www.illinoistollway.com/portal/page...eid=133,1495185 I live in Illinois and I never drive the Illinois toll system with my RV! I do drive the toll roads in all other states .... they are reasonable . To transit Illinois east/west use I80 ( not I88 as this is toll) or US 20 or US30 To transit North/South I39 goes from the center of the state to Wisconsn around Rockford .... the last 20 miles is toll (north of Rockford) and will cost over $5.00.
