self diagnostic on cat 3126 engine

I have a check engine light on my beaver motorhome. i read the CAT manual says you can do self diagnostic on it by leaving the cruise control switch off have key on and push and hold the set/resume switch. i did this and tried 5 times and nothing. the coach has been setting in storage i just got it running and want to drive it home about 170 miles but not sure about this engine light.

Because it's a CAT, you would be doing yourself a favor and have an expert/professional do the diagnostics
