tupelo Report post Posted March 10, 2011 I posted about my refrig not getting cold enough. I had the recalls made & it is a four door model 1210 & it is on a slideout with the top vent & 2 cooling fans. It is clear from top to bottom. I was told it is possible that only half of the cooling unit could be operating which would only let the temp in the freezer to be about 32 degrees & the refrig to be approx. 55 degrees. Have you ever heard of that before & if that is the case would the cooling unit have to be replaced?
akadeadeye Report post Posted March 12, 2011 I do not know the answer to your question. But, I can tell you that if we need to replace our cooling unit, it won't be another Norcold. It will be an Amish Cooling Unit. They are made with thicker tubing than the Norcold units. This has, apparently, been the culprit in all the problems with failing on the Norcold units.
