hertzfl Report post Posted July 9, 2011 Our Xantrex RV GS inverter started making a popping sound (like popcorn in a microwave). This continued for about an hour. wolfe10 Report post Posted July 9, 2011 I can't think of any "good" popping sound from an electrical device. Possible causes: Relay getting hot and cutting off/on. Breaker doing same.
