jimjohnson Report post Posted December 7, 2011 What, in you learned experience, would be the best way to protect your toad from rocks and debris? Also to protect the tow vehicle from rocks coming forward off front tires of toad? Have a 2010 Jeep wrangler with oversize tires. Thanks in advance for sharing. desertdeals69 Report post Posted December 9, 2011 What I have used is a couple of camping sleeping mats available at Wal mart for about $7 each. They are about 1/2 inch thick and about 20 inches wide and 72 inches long. Cut out where the towbar brackets come through. I secure to the front of the vehicle with 6 foot bungie cords. I have traveled coast to coast, border to border, including a month in Alaska for the last 12 years and never had a mark on the front end. I towed a Chev Silverado about 120,000 miles. ramblinboy Report post Posted December 10, 2011 Protectatow: http://protectatow.tripod.com/ We have one to protect the front and windshield of the towed v. Gota drill some holes though under your RV back bumper install the hooks to snap on the shield. Works great. Should find that thread here somewhere
