ramblinboy Report post Posted January 7, 2012 'Ive heard that Florida has speargrass which is a hazard for dogs. Any similar hazards for dogs in the desert? Cactus is one obvious one but any reason to have your dog wear foot protection in the desert/badlands?
desertdeals69 Report post Posted January 8, 2012 In the desert southwest we have "goats heads." Hard on humans with bare feet as well as pets.

jmr12 Report post Posted February 5, 2012 Ramblin What breed of dogs do you travel with? We have 2 German Shorthairs. Just got back from AZ. Did some hunting out in the desert. Got some boots from Sportsman Warehouse. If you travel across the border at Sweetgrass, let me know. We live in Conrad. Probably have a place for you to park.
