Larry196 Report post Posted June 3, 2012 We have made the leap to Full Time, and the first problem we ran across is the many "Medical Evacuation" plans offered by some of the clubs (GS, FMCA) This is a great concern to my wife because I have a bad heart and am a cancer survivor, her fear is we will get out and have an emergency and no help around. Has anyone had any dealings with these plans and which is best??? Is there a cost ? hELP!!!!!!! Larry and Rita
RVerOnTheMove Report post Posted June 3, 2012 I believe SkyMed does just that and they are a highly respected organization.
charles10 Report post Posted June 16, 2012 My husband is a heart patient. While in Happy Camp, Ca. last summer 65 miles from interstate 5 we called 911, ambulance showed up, took him to helicopter and in a few minutes he was in hospital in Medford, Or. Took me over 3 hours to get there. Cost with meds was around $3,200 which insurance took care of. He is DAV, if it had been me I would have had to pay 80%.
