tomcypress Report post Posted July 1, 2012 We have a 37' 2009' Forest River, Georgetown, 2 AC on the roof. Traveled from WPB Fl in May to Yellowstone Pk, the first night there it was 27 & snow! Working on our way back to NC on route 40 New Mexico weather 105? our AC wont go below 80, the air is cold! but has to run for a long time? We shut it off for a while so it can rest up! Should we buy a small ac kicker to help it? Tom -----
desmo Report post Posted July 1, 2012 We had a 2008 Forrest River Charleston 40' and with 2 13.5K units, the best we could get is 20 degree drop from outside temperature with low humidity. So if your getting to 80 when its 105 outside your doing real good. I assume the humidity was pretty low at your location. Costco has a 10k BTU for about $400 runs on 120v that will probably drop you another 5 degrees.
whiteeagle Report post Posted July 4, 2012 We just returned from FL .. had temps at 105-109 (our thermometer reported 109-112) ... Best our 3 AC units could sustain was a drop of 23-25 degrees so we were fine up to 100-101 but above that with sun shinning in, it got warm inside the MH.....
