dickandlois Report post Posted December 15, 2012 Dwesr, Contact the chassis manufacturer and see if you can get the chassis wiring for the cruse control circuit. It is installed by them. Most often there is an interface circuit(board) mounted under the dash, (drivers side) that connects the the OFF, ON and SET buttons from the steering wheel controls to the Engine ECM. Quite often the problem is a broken wire or switch in the Smart Stick Switch(s) or Steering Wheel Mounted Switch connection(s) and the interface board mentioned above. Rich. wolfe10 Report post Posted December 15, 2012 What brand Cruise Control do you have? Many of the air cruise controls from that era such as the Bendix unit are obsolete and there are no parts available. Many of us with these old units have gone to the King Control electronic cruise controls. http://www.cruisecontrolking.com/ Other than verifying that your brake switch is working properly, we need to know what unit you have to begin troubleshooting.
