hermanmullins Report post Posted February 21, 2013 I got a nice hint from James at Xtreme Graphics. When trying to remove Items from painted surfaces do not use a heat gun. The heat gun will continue to get hot and if held a fraction too long in one sport the surface is damaged. Use Steam. Steam will reach a maximum of 212 degrees and no more. It would be around 190 by the time it comes in contact with the surface. That is enough heat to loosen adheasives and still not damage the surface. Hope this helps.
