Jacks

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine owns a 2005 Allegro Bay. Suddenly there was a problem with the rear jacks on the passenger side. That jack became completely loose (it can be moved up and down manually without any restriction).

Any idea on the cause of this situation?

Astmi,

Sounds like a Big Foot Jack. Each jack is independent with its own Pump and reservoir.

It mat have lost all of its fluid. To tell if it is a big foot look at the Pad. It should be close to a foot in across. It may have blown a seal. Is there a lot of fluid on the ground?

If it will go up by hand, have him raise it and tie it up till he can get to a shop.

Herman

thank you guys. I took the jack (it's an electric jack) out and it appears that the jack maybe on auto leveling went over its normal course and that the bushing at the top broke
