rsams@comcast.net Report post Posted August 23, 2009 I have an R-Vision B plus motorhome with a rear door. I can't put a bike rack on the ladder or on the rear hitch because I won't be able to get the rear door open. My dog goes in and out of the rear door. So, where can I put a bike rack? We have two bikes. Thanks, Rod
kingfr Report post Posted August 23, 2009 You might try putting a class 2 or 3 receiver on the nose of the coach and mounting a bicycle carrier up there. We used a bike rack on the nose of a Chevrolet 3/4 ton van for many years with no problems.
DoggyDaddy Report post Posted August 23, 2009 Two methods come to mind. Store the rack on the roof or use an extended male tongue bar with a Fold-Away Trailer Hinge Kit found on the tongues of boat trailers.
RUSTYDARWIN Report post Posted May 8, 2011 You probably have solved your problem by now. I had a trailer hitch installed on the front of my Class C Ford E450. While at first put the bikes there, when I had to go to a 3 wheel bike for the wife, I went to Harbor Freight and purchased a "front porch" that slid into the receiver. Of course I ended up carrying other items on it as well. Ross Fresno, Ca
lgstar Report post Posted October 18, 2011 I was wondering about the possibility of getting a bike rack installed somewhere in the parking deck? I think it would be nice to have somewhere covered and off the street for us to store bikes for short times. I ride my bike every day and bringing it in and out of the condo or storage locker is quite a hassle.
