JohnJill Report post Posted March 2, 2014 Is anyone towing a Chevy Traverse wheels down?
wla7pca7 Report post Posted March 3, 2014 Yes ... 2011 AWD. Installed switches so I do not have to pull fuses each time. We also have a 2012 Jeep Liberty that we tow. The Jeep is easier but not as comfortable. So, on extended stays, we take the Traverse. I was foolish and burnt the brakes on the Traverse. I started the Traverse during a rest stop without removing the tow brake. The tow brake ratcheted tighter so the brakes were slightly applied, resulting in four new brake shoes. A costly mistake! JohnJill Report post Posted March 3, 2014 Did you take it to the Chevy dealer for the fuse switch or to the trailer place.
jgallego Report post Posted March 3, 2014 I have a Chevrolet Equinox. Holiday World did the fuse switch while installing the towing package. I tow with all four wheels down. Jaime

wla7pca7 Report post Posted March 4, 2014 Did you take it to the Chevy dealer for the fuse switch or to the trailer place. Found the switches online and installed them myself. It was easy.
jgallego Report post Posted March 4, 2014 Camping World has the switch advertised in the mailer I received for I believe around $75. I also think they have $39 installation. Jaime
