You don't want to leave any of these chemials sitting in the bowl where they could effect the seals but that also means you don't want to leave them in an empty holding tank where it could effect that seal. hermanmullins Report post Posted May 19, 2014 Clean, empty, flush tank, empty again, add some water then go out again. We are fortunate to have a clean out drain at home. So each time we are returning home and are about half an hour from home the DW will dump our ice tray in the bowl and flush. that way the ice will hopefully dislodge any stuff and will go on down the drain when I dump at home.
