BRLAtraveler Report post Posted July 6, 2014 We are trying to find information regarding towing a 2001 Isuzu Trooper S 2wd. I do not own the vehicle but would like to know if it is possible to tow it 4 wheels down. It is old but in good shape and very low miles for its age. I do not currently have the owners manual and the FMCA towing guide does not list Isuzu vehicles.
kingfr Report post Posted July 6, 2014 If it is automatic, probably not. If it is a stick shift, maybe, maybe not. you might check the Blue OX web site to see if there is a base plate for it. That would let you know if some versions were towable, at least the 4WD versions.
hermanmullins Report post Posted July 7, 2014 BRLAtraveler, Welcome to the Forum. The best way to tow a rear two wheel drive vehicle is to have a Drive Shaft Disconnect installed. If you are in or closet to Dallas, Texas there is Drive Shaft King. David does a great job and will go above and beyond for you. Herman
