jdwarren Report post Posted January 20, 2015 We have an 04 Diplomat Monaco and the Step Slide stopped working. It makes a clunking sound while cycling the switch. hermanmullins Report post Posted January 21, 2015 Jim, welcome to the Forum. Your step has a air cylinder to operate the cover. It sounds like the mounting stud has broken. It is is a difficult repair but can be done. The cover needs to be removed. The cylinder is attached to the leading edge and has two air lines that must be removed. The cylinder is about 20+ inches long and is secured with a stud in the rear of the tray. To repair mine I made my own stud.Good luck,Herman Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
