jeepman53 Report post Posted July 31, 2015 Just had the Trav'ler dish installed and have 2 receivers(1 for each TV) .After much on hold waits to get connected, the rear tv seems linked to the main one. My coach is a 2008 Itasca Suncruiser 38T and uses the Winegard distribution control. The satellite buttons are depressed for the main and rear TVs. When the Shaw guy was checking thru the hookup procedure, I told him that everything that was happening on the main screen was happening on the rear one. The rear "box" showed power on but (red)no signal. No amount of try this code or that seemed to do anything. Were close, but no cigar...any thoughts? Thanks, Dave
kaypsmith Report post Posted August 1, 2015 Is there any chance that both receivers are set for uhf (rf)? This is just a thought, with your description, if both receivers are set for uhf, both will receive the same signal causing both to show the same thing. Only one can be set to uhf, all others must be set for ir. Simpler things have caused great ponder. Welcome to the forum, and good luck resolving the issue. On rereading your op, noticed that you stated that rear box shows (red) no signal, if this is the case, the two TV's can only be connected via avi, hdmi, or component cables for them to show the exact same thing. Both receivers must be connected to coax straight to the dish, or through a multiplexing device, they cannot be y'd together. Not sure how Shaw works, but it is likely that it is designed to work correctly, but improper installation and programing is a likelihood.
