F424754 Report post Posted August 20, 2015 Recently while making a turn around in an RV park, I got too close to a palm tree and took my midship turn signal light off. The broken light has an incandescent twist in bulb. The only replacements that I have been able to find are LED. How much trouble am I going to get into swapping from one to the other? wolfe10 Report post Posted August 20, 2015 F424754, Welcome to the FMCA Forum. No trouble at all. Just make sure the new ones are 12 VDC and be aware that they are polarity sensitive.
F424754 Report post Posted August 20, 2015 You've already gotten too technical for me. If I can unplug & replug or splice a black wire to a black wire etc I'm good. Past that not so good. But thanks.
wolfe10 Report post Posted August 20, 2015 Yes, all you have to do is buy a 12 VDC clearance light and you will need to splice it to the existing wires. There will be a positive and a ground wire. Use butt connectors.
