Wisconsin to Florida in mid November 2017

We are members and this November we will again be driving our 28' Class C to Florida from Wisconsin. We expect to leave Milwaukee around November 15th. We are flexible on our departure date and route south. We would appreciate any feedback or suggestions from other members regarding fun stops during this journey. We like Wineries, Craft Beers, barbeques, civil war sites, lakes, rivers and waterfalls. Thank you in advance for your help.

You may have seen these already but if not a few come to mind. There used to be a Civil War museum in Fredericksburg VA and part of the actual wall was still when I last visited in 1981. One of the few places I like in Florida is the Castillo De San Marcos in St Augustine. When I used to go to Jacksonville I used 95 as little as possible. I actually went out of my way to go down 81 and then over. Safe journey. On a side note, have you ever considered the south west? We winter in Pahrump NV and love it. We like it way better than Florida but that's just our opinion. Safe journey.

If you are passing thru South Carolina, some of the best BBQ will be at "Scotts Variety".  It is a small family operation that has been featured on national TV shows.  It is located in Hemingway, SC.  Be sure to take a walk out back into their smoke house.  Talk about good!

Sounds like a nice trip planned, enjoy and be safe.

Stop by the San Sebastian Winery in St Augustine.  Great tour and plenty to 'test'.  Lots to do in St Augustine as well.  We usually stay at the North Beach Campground right on A1A.  Close to everything and a great campground too!
